Darci lives life like a ray of sunshine. He's bubbly and jolly and a smile is always present on his face; he constantly strives to help others and make himself useful in an way he can. His endeavors aren't always successful however, and he's been known to completely mess up an otherwise simple task due to his over enthusiasm. Just because he loves to make himself useful doesn't mean he can't have his fun though. Given the opportunity he loves to find ways to pull fun pranks- something that also typically ends in dramatic failure on his part but he just laughs it off.

He has a burning wonder and desire to see the world that drives him in his travels, compelling him to wander from province to province and see as much as he can. He absolutely adores learning about new cultures and customs and if he can afford it he tries to keep a small token or memento from every memorable place he's been to.

History

Born in the grand city of Koben he moved to Song Lu along with his family when he was still very young when his parents set out to make a new life for themselves. It took a few years of scraping by jobs where they could get it- Darci often being recruited to work instead of play even at his young age before finally managing to buy a plot of land on the outskirts of the city. Knowing they would need a way to keep paying for their land they immediately set about fashioning it into a tourist hot spot with the lure of guided elk rides around the hot springs and mountains. It was slow beginnings and took some time for people to show interest but soon enough they were a booming business with a constant stream of customers always clamoring for a guided tour.

Darci was considered to be the best tour guide in the business, he knew the land inside and out even at the age of 13 after roaming all over the mountains and forests for years on his own cow Ethel whom he raised up himself from a newborn calf. He absolutely loved his job. He never tired of answering questions and talking about his home to curious visitors and it was more often than he'd like to admit but many times while out on a ride a customer would somehow find a way to unseat themself and he would have to tend to their injury. It was then that he found his real calling in life- being a healer. He tried to study in Song Lu for a time but eventually he concluded that he would need to travel to Koben to study healing more extensively- and so he found his second calling; traveling. Seeing the world from the back of his elk was wonderful just around Song Lu but suddenly the whole world was opened to him and he felt the itch in his toes to wander and see all that he could. He managed to remain in Koben long enough to reach acolyte status before hitting the road again and setting off.

 He considers himself to be fully Songluan despite his heritage and although he lives a somewhat nomadic lifestyle he always finds himself gravitating back towards the city in the end.

Additional info:

- He is always dirt poor and broke and ALWAYS willing to work any odd job he can manage
- Because he is so poor he often spends his nights camping on the outskirts of any city he's staying in.
